Frequently asked questions

Can I see a full, start-to-finish walkthrough of someone building an app?

Yes - if you click here, you can watch our co-founder Dan Harvey in real-time as he builds and launches his own app. In the video, he covers everything from logging in for the first time to having your own app live in the Apple and Google stores, so you know exactly what to expect.

Can I create multiple courses/products in my app?

Yes! You can build an unlimited number of products and courses. Click here to see how to create a course.

To give one example; Tiffany Wilkerson created 6 different courses in her app. Check out her case study by clicking here.

Will this work for me?

We have 7,500+ Creators spanning a variety of use cases and niches. Check out some of our favourites by clicking here. Whatever your niche or business stage, we provide step-by-step training from day one.

If you’re a beginner, the 30-day Expert Unleashed Challenge is designed to help you launch your app and get your first 5-15 high-paying customers. If you’re a growing business, the Expert Freedom training will help you to grow even faster.

Do I need to write code?

No, you don’t need to know anything about code to build your app! You can set your app based on a template (click here to see how it works) and build content using drag & drop (click here for a demo).

How can I process payments?

You have complete flexibility on where to sell to your customers. There are 3 main ways to sell your app: through In-App Purchases, FitwirePayments, or External Checkouts. Click here to watch a video where we explain how each option works.

How do I get paid?

There are 3 main ways to sell your app: through In-App Purchases, Fitwire Payments, or External Checkouts.

If you’re selling through In-App Purchases, then Google and Apple will pay you directly every 30 days, minus a 15% commission fee. If you sell through FitwirePayments, then you will be paid by Stripe directly (which can take up to 3 days), minus a 3.9% platform fee.

If you’re subscribed to our Ultimate plan, then you can use your own External Checkouts or payment provider, and you will be paid directly by them.

How much can I charge my app subscribers?

The sky’s the limit - you can charge from $1 to $10,000+. The more engaging and interactive a customer’s experience is, the higher the perceived value is. That’s why people with custom apps (including FitwireApps) can charge more than traditional online courses hosted on big platforms.

Click here to learn how to set up pricing in your app. You can also estimate your income with our income calculator and check out our case studies to see how other app creators set their pricing.

Can I have free or preview content in my app for potential customers to try out?

Yes, absolutely. Our preview content feature allows your app users to view lessons of your choice for free, while keeping other lessons locked. Preview content is accessible to anyone who downloads your app, whether they have an account or not.

Alternatively, you can set up free pricing plans so that potential customers can access entire products of your choice for free. In order to access free pricing plans, users need to sign up with their email in your app.

Can I see a platform demo?

You can find a platform demo here. When you sign up we also offer an onboarding call to all new customers, as well as step by step training, Help Center articles, and our Customer Success team is on hand to deal with any questions you may have.

How many apps can I create per subscription?

You get one app for IOS, Android and web. To see if you need multiple apps, take a look at our platform demo.

Is this my app or Fitwire's app?

It is your very own native, branded app. Both the iOS and Android apps are white labeled.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees with Fitwire. To launch your app in the Google Play Store, you will need a Google Play Store account. Google will charge you a one-time fee of $25 for lifetime access. For Apple, it is similar. Apple will charge you $8/month billed annually (i.e. $99/year) to have access to the Apple App Store. We provide step by step instructions to help you with the app submission process.

Why is Fitwire better than the competition?

Fitwire's market-leading drag & drop platform enables customers to create their own branded app, whilst the tried & tested training ensures the products & courses they create actually sell. Fitwire co-founder & CRO, Dan Harvey, explains more in the welcome video on the homepage.

Is this just for fitness?

Fitwire Apps are great for fitness! They're also excellent for elearning, online courses, coaching of all types and much much more. Read through our use cases & case studies to find out more.

Will my app work in any country?

Yes. See platform demo for more info.
